July 12, 2014 - Return Trip to Rattlesnake Saloon
Today we decided to make a return trip to the Rattlesnake Saloon in Tuscumbia, AL. This is a neat place to visit. Since the Rattlesnake Saloon isn't very far away, we took a "roundabout" way to get there and still arrived about 10:30 AM. The restaurant opens at 11:00 so we had some time to kill before lunch. It's a good thing that we got there early though because they had a car show and entertainment so the place was pretty much packed in just a little while. The "taxi" wasn't running so we had to walk in and back out. Walking down is not too bad but walking out is a different story! When all 15 of us finished eating and exploring the place, we met in the shade by the sign in the parking lot. Yeah, I said we met in the shade because it was HOT! We saw one sign that stated it was 93° and another stated 96°. We stopped at the Tishamingo State Park and walked around. If you have never been to Tishamingo State Park you might want to check it out. There are plenty of things to see including a big swinging bridge, an old log cabin, lots of hiking trails, etc. Then we were back on the bikes and headed toward our madatory "ice cream" stop. Another great day with our friends enjoying God's beautiful world! Can't wait 'til next time...
